I was buying my girlfriend of 1 year her first real earrings (real gemstone, etc...). She didn't know what she wanted, but she's had some problems with her ears reacting poorly to silver, and even gold (allergic?). A jeweler recommended platinum, and she tried on a quarter carot pair (that the store had on sale for $499). The quarter carot fit well, and looked nice, but I certainly didn't want to go smaller. I found the 1/3 here for a little over half, and decided to try them. They looked quite similar to the ones in the store, but I certainly liked the price. Well, she loved them, and the look great on her. Do yourself a favor and have her try on a similar pair for size at a store so you can get an idea of the size and its appropriateness. As for negatives...I don't like that they come without certification papers, and as everyone else said, the box is ugly. Finally, buy these. Buy a small earring box somewhere else for a couple of bucks, and give a gift that she'll love.

I was searching for earrings that would look good and not hurt. I have been having a lot of problems with other earrings causing headaches and ear aches. These little sparklers are small but great looking and the platinum, the purest metal available, has been comfortable even when I wear them all day. And the price fit my budget! I appreciate the information on cut, color, carat, etc., that Overstock offers about diamonds so that I could be an informed consumer. Lovely earrings and the good lady was very pleased. Delivery to the UK was as advertised, even though tracking only seemed to go as far as the US hub, so concerns were unfounded.

Although not the highest clarity rating, the color of these stones is outstanding and they are quite beautiful. Totally worth the price. Great for a bit of every day sparkle.

I bought these for my gf's birthday, I'm giving them to her tonight. They are amazing. They came in yesterday and I havent stopped looking at them! lol If your looking for some earrings that are humble in size yet obviously top quality, these are them. Probably a nice set of diamonds for the price. Great brilliance and clarity as described. Cloudy areas easily seen when viewed with a microscope. Came in a chintzy box.

I love these earrings!!! Fantastic! They are bigger than I expected and look great. Have not had them appraised, so have to trust overstock but and I am very pleased. Couldn't find anything like these in local stores for less than $700!

I looked in stores and online for a pair of diamond studs for my second piercings to go with my pearls for my wedding. I could not find a better value anywhere! These are the perfect size and are clear and sparkly. They are small enough to wear in second piercings, but also an appropriate size for first piercings (I suggest visiting a local store to get an idea of sizes so you know what you are getting!). I have worn them every day since they arrived and cannot wait to wear them with my pearls on my wedding day!

The earrings really were just as described, as far as quality etc. I was suprised at how clear they were, the pefect match, and the fact that they sparkled quite a bit. The only problem - they were way to small - so I returned them. If size doesn't matter - I highly recommend these earrings. Plus exceptionally quick service too from Overstock.com!

These earrings are perfect! I received them as a 30th birthday present. I have always had sensitive ears and could not were earrings for more than a couple hours. I can wear these earrings for days without any problems at all. And they are so beautiful!
