Peugeot Men's Rectangular Steel Case Strap Watch

After reading the reviews I decided this would be a worthy gift for a friend who was in need of a good looking watch. It certainly exceeded my expectations and I hope my friend think so as well!

I don't usually bother to write reviews, but I appreciated reading what others had to say before buying this watch from Overstock, so I'll add my two cents: This is a very expensive looking, finely made and elegant watch, with a subtsantial feel and very polished finish. I was amazed when it arrived--in a presentation quality red leather (?) box inlaid with the Peugeot name and a white velvet (?) interior. If you want to impress someone with a gift that looks more expensive than it is, this would be a good choice. The band is a good quality black cowhide leather with feaux alligator styling and a polished silver metal clasp. This is a dress watch, by the way--not something you're going to want wear to the gym or camping. It is thin and countoured to the curvature of the wrist, so it fits very well under a sleeve cuff of a dress shirt. My only complaint and not flaw of the watch is that the face is more silver than the whiter color it appears to be in the photos. This gives the whole watch a monotone appearance that makes it harder to tell the time at a glance, because the hands blend in with the dial. I think this gives it a more refined look and is the trend in design of higher end watches, but I would have preferred a white dial.

This watch looks great - much more expensive than what I paid. The strap is very nice also, and perfect for work or casual wear. A very classic design.

The watch arrived the day after I ordered it which was pleasantly stunning. The pictures on the Overstock web site do not do it justice. A classic interpretation of an art deco era tank watch.
