    This is a beautiful ring and the stone really sparkles. I wanted a ring that would look good with my diamond anniversary band. It's very simple and plain but a nice setting overall. I was worried the stone would sit too high but it doesn't. After a few other misses with some other Overstock rings (all were either too gaudy looking or didn't fit) I feel like I hit the jackpot with this one.

    I have been wearing this ring for only a few days and have received so many compliments. I love stainless steel because it is totally hypoallergenic and smooth and comfortable to wear and this is the perfect combination of sparkle and stainless. I bought it to wear as a substitute wedding ring until I can afford to have gold added to mine for sizing. It's fun, even though it's only a CZ. No one has seemed to notice though due to the fact that the setting is so simple and clean, not gaudy like most CZ rings. Love it!!!

    • Hello Judy C., the gold tone ring has a PVD coating. These coatings are harder and more corrosion resistant than coatings applied by the electroplating process. Most coatings have high temperature and good impact strength, excellent abrasion resistance and are so durable that protective topcoats are almost never necessary. I hope that helps.     • The Stainless Steel rings (Subject: SKU#14755741) have a gold coat of PVD material. PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating can be done in any color at very high temperatures where the material vapor literally deposits itself on the object being coated and when cooled becomes part of that object. In this case the ring. PVD coatings are harder and more corrosion resistant than coatings applied by the electroplating process. Most coatings have high temperature and good impact strength, excellent abrasion resistance and are so durable that protective topcoats are almost never necessary. PVD coatings are more environmentally friendly than traditional coating processes such as electroplating and painting.
