Michael Valitutti Silver/ Palladium/ 18k Vermeil Red Jade/ Ruby Ring

This is a beautiful ring, first of all. It is quite well made and comfortable to wear. I bought a size larger than my ring finger because it has a wide band and a large table and it's a perfect fit. I am still trying to decide whether to keep this ring. . .while it is a great piece, I thought the red jade would be more of a deep pink as pictured, with some variation in the stone. The actual stone is a perfect cabochon of a deep red, almost burgundy-colored stone with no striations or light coming through it at all, so it reads darker, redder, and more opaque than the online photo. The gold overlay is well done, but perhaps a little brighter gold than I'd hoped. The rubies are small and set off the color of the jade. There is a lot of gold presence on the sides that you can't see well from the photo. I think this ring is quite worth the price and would make anyone who likes large rings very happy, as long as you know what color you're getting.
