Miadora Sterling Silver Sapphire and 1/6ct TDW Diamond Ring (H-I, I3)

This ring reminded me of the boxed rings you see at the costume jewelry counter in a department store. I probably could have purchased a similar ring for about half the price. Sapphire is my birthstone and I like the antique looking setting. I figured it would have been more of a hassle to return the ring. Considering I only spent $50 bucks, I kept it.

Upon opening up the ring I held my breath because it had been a long time since I'd ordered any jewelry off of Overstock and I didn't know what to expect, since I'd only spent $50. However I must say I was pleasantly surprised! The ring is quite dainty and looks exactly like the one in the picture. It also fits very true to size. The detail is lovely and the sapphire is larger than I'd expected and a pretty dark blue. The only complaint is that the diamonds (which there are many of) are of "milky" quality, but since I only spent $50 on the ring, that's about on par for what I expected. Altogether a nice purchase and I would recommend it to anyone "on the fence" about purchasing.

I love this ring! It is beautiful. It arrived quickly and came just as pictured. The quality is excellent and the sizing is just as measured.

I love the setting of this ring and even debated having all the stones removed and resetting it with better stones. The diamonds were milky with little sparkle and the sapphire was much the same. It is a very flat blue stone and there was sort of a green vein in it. I was not impressed. HOWEVER my Aunt put it on and LOVED it. She pointed out that this ring goes absolutely great with blue jeans. I literally had to pry it out of her hand. SO guess what? I kept it and now she is getting it for Christmas. Now I am rethinking my thoughts on the ring and looking at it. Is it a deep bright blue sparkly sapphire that I was expecting? No. It is a flat jean blue ring in a really nice setting. And I wear jeans a lot.... hmmmm.
