I bought this watch last week and was pleasantly surprised. I needed the altimeter function for an upcoming trip to Nepal. I tested the watch last week and it was amazingly accurate. I think the key is in callibrating the altimeter regularly.

I used the altimeter function on a ski trip, it was easy to operate and easy to read. I plan to use it this summer when hiking in the high country.
