Lucien Piccard Men's Chronograph Charcoal Dial Tachymetre Watch

My husband loves his new watch. The quality and style of this watch are fantastic. It was so easy for him to set the time and our local jewler made it simple to take off a link for size. I would recommend Lucien Piccard for style and Overstock for a great price!

Very happy with this watch! Can't beat the price either (unless you're willing to risk buying from the auction sites). I read all the reviews after ordering, and I was a little worried about my charcoal color choice. I was ready to return it for a white one, until it showed up in the mail. Turns out, it looks great! Not hard to read at all. Just a little bit of light around will reflect off the shiny hands. Cool features: Slightly-spherical, sapphire crystal. Stop watch style chronograph (When you reset it, it's cool to watch it go back to the 12). Tachymeter markings on face (These are hard to read. No biggee.). It's comfortable. Textured face looks cool when the light reflects off of it (doesn't show in the photos). And a nice box to boot. It even smelled like new watch when I got it! One important thing to note. The crown must first be unscrewed and then pulled out. I almost grabbed pliers to set the time, but I then went to a jeweler (I had to size it anyway) who showed me about the water-proof crown (turny knob), originally designed by Rolex. He said it's a beautiful watch, and I got a good deal if I paid less than $200.

The watch looks very nice, and it gets lots of compliments. It's not as big as I would have liked, but has a nice weight to it. The only negatives are the clasp, which I've had adjusted every few months (free at most jewelers, but a pain) and still comes loose and falls off regularly, and the lack of readability at night that everyone else mentioned as well. Definitely not worth the "full retail value" though, but compares well with other watches at Overstock's price!

Very nice watch. A bit heavy but you get used to it. I'd agree that it's hard to read the time on the grey dial. Dial color definitely makes a difference. I'd go for the black or blue dial. Another feature that makes reading the time difficult is the chronograph second hand. It's a big hand, so when glancing at your watch quickly, you might confuse it for the minute hand. I'm not sure if the dial color would make up for that aspect of the watch. One feature I like is how the opening clasp is hidden on the inside. It makes the bracelet look unique. Overall, a great value and very impressive watch
