This watch was bought for a senior citizen who didn't want to bother with a latch. It is good looking with larger than normal numbers and also has the button to light up! Since this was just given at Christmas I can't vouch for the 10yr battery that it boasts. If that is true, the watch will probably outlive the owner!
I have always worn mid-priced Citizen and Swiss Army Watches and this one is now my favorite. At first I thought it was a little large. I needed to adjust the bracelet a couple times to find the most comfortable fit and found it needed to fit snuggly for me.
I am really glad I got this watch. Although my wife nearly dropped to the floor when she saw the suggested retail price on the box and watch, I assured her I did not pay nearly that much.I love it. The size is a bit larger than my Citizens Nigh Hawk and a bit heavier which I like. I need to get it sized to fit but it's a really nice watch. I was really surprised and pleased with the quality and weight. The claps is not the three piece interlocking style that I really like, but that not a biggie.I would highly recommend this watch to others.
The watch is a beautiful, detailed watch for the money. The face is clean, bright and easy to read and the blue colors are striking. The band is comfortable and of great quality. I have worn leather or leather/cloth bands for years and was concerned with the comfort of a stainless steel band but this one is exceptional. I have gotten to know Xezo over the past few months and am struck with the care they take in the design and build quality of their products. They are most responsive. As well Overstock.com was exceptional on this purchase. I had an issue with the first watch 30 days after purchasing it with the movement. Though it is a highly respected movement, (Citizen) Overstock.com was easy to work with on the exchange for a new one. They even shipped the new one before receiving the original back, provided shipping labels by e-mail and follow-up e-mails throughout the process. I am new to Overstock.com but will certainly do business with them again. As well, Xezo was most responsive about my concerns with the original watch. I enjoy unique, well made products though at times issues can arise. The real test of a quality company is the response when a problem occurs. Both Overstock and Xezo performed exceptionally well.
I love this watch. I bought it to substitute for my gold Citizen while waiting on a new watchband, but now I wear it all the time. The light up black dial is just plain cool! Keeps excellent time and is very attractive. It's not too large (like men's watches tend to be) and doesn't have any fake dials (thank you Timex for insisting on relevance). Very happy about the price too. Very good value at $**!
We are currently looking to replace band----my husband is rough on watches---recently got him the citizen eco drive with titanium band---this watch should only be worn for office/church/special event
This watch is excellent nice looking I was trying to buy a CITIZEN but I got stocked looking the elegance of this one and then, Not CITIZEN not SEIKO or BULOVA.
The watch is good looking and runs well. The wrist band is too small for most men. I bought two watches and both recipients had to purchase larger bands in order to wear the watches.
I am very pleased with this watch. Having never hearing of the brand name Akribos I did some research and found the watch is from Greece. The name means "precise, accurate" and that descibes the watch. I had to get another watch as my Citizen Eco-Drive watches solar cell gave out and they wanted to charge me $100.00 to repair the watch. I also love my new watch as there are no batteries or solar cells, but rather is an automatic watch that winds as I move my arm. Very pleased!!!!
