This ring is CONSTRUCTED well. If you google "tungsten carbide properties", the stats are impressive. It's durable, and doesn't scratch easy at all. It's one of the hardest metals known. I'm in the Army, so it's perfect for me. HOWEVER, the main reason my Wife and I decided to go with this particular ring, was because of the black color; a black wedding ring is pretty unique. I haven't had it for a month yet, and it's already FADING!!! No harsh chemicals, just regular handwashing with mild soap, and showering! The only reason I didn't give it 2 stars is because it looks like a gunmetal color now that it's faded, so it still looks cool. I don't know how much more it's gonna fade though. If you buy this ring, Don't wear it much or expose it to any abrasion or fluids, as it WILL fade.

This is NOT A REAL tungsten ring. After my husband wore it for only two weeks, it FADED and SCRATCHED along the middle part of the ring. We went to a jewler and compared it to a real tungsten ring and it was not even one third the weight of a real tungsten ring the same size. Tungsten does not scratch, but this ring scratches, so it cannot be real tungsten. the inside of the ring seems to be real tungsten, but not the outside. the inside of the ring says Tungsten on it, but I don't know how it can be sold as tungsten because IT IS NOT TUNGSTEN!

We didn't pay much for the product so we should have know the quality would be bad...

My husband is not really a jewelry wearing kind of man. He is very outdoorsy and rough with his hands so I wanted to get him a Tungsten Carbide ring for his wedding band. It came days with in ordering it. The day of our wedding...he accidentally scraped is across a cement bench...Not a scratch on it!!!!! We are very happy with this ring!

This is my 2nd time buying this ring, the first one was lost. My husband loved this ring because it is black and wasn't too fond of the silver version. He's in the military, so we were looking for something durable. This ring was not supposed to scratch, but it did right away. It also faded a lot! From far away, it looks good. For ** bucks though, I'm not complaining. Over-all, its a cool ring.

My husband needed a new band and I had just talked to a friend who got her husbands on here, so I shopped around and the same ring was going for $280 at other jewelry store. So it was a perfect buy for me :))

My finace did not want a traditional wedding band. His favorite color is black and he refused to wear anything else. The ring is comfotable and exactly what he wanted. We priced the ring at two different jewlers and they wanted over $250 for the exact same ring! We get married in June but he's already wearing it. So far this ring is perfect!

Honestly i wasn't too sure what to expect when i bought this ring for My boyfriend... he mentioned wanting a simple all black ring. the detail in the middle is a nice touch that made it better than a flat black ring. it was heavy and looked very good. My boyfriend does tree work so he needs something sturdy and won't scratch easily. he actually found out his foreman has the exact same ring for a wedding band!! I looked at jewelry stores and saw this exact ring for about one hundred dollars more. You just can't beat this ring for the price. when we first got it the sizing was off so we had to return it for a anew size but overstock was wonderful with that as well and we got a new ring in about a week!

I gave this to my boyfriend He loves it and wears everywhere

The rings color looked like it was rubbing off. It was black with some silver spots. Very ugly expecially if this is someones wedding ring. My husband was very unhappy. I would not buy this ring. Very upset!!

Bought this as a wedding band for my fiance as he works in auto retail and he loves the look of it. We aren't married yet, so I can't tell you if the scratch resistant feature is true or not. It looks exactly like the designer ring we were looking at but it was $300 cheaper.

I love this ring. I bought it for my boyfriend two years ago and it's still in the small shape and color as when I bought it. He wears it all the time and it's still looking amazing as it did years ago. It's of great quality too.

To the untrained eye this looks like a great ring at a great price. I ordered it last April for my soon to be husband. He works in manufacturing and I thought this would be great for him. Soon after we were married I thought it was fading but the hubs didn't see it so I thought it was just me. Today (1/2/12) he called me from work to say it had BROKEN IN HALF!!!! He emailed me a photo and I couldn't believe it. It fell off his hand at work and it fell onto concrete. (He's 6"4') I wish I had read these reviews first. I suggest if you order this ring you get the warranty.

My husband loves this ring. We had to buy it as a replacement, because we had ordered a much more expensive ring (not tungsten) from a local jeweler and within 2 days of our wedding the ring was so tarnished he couldn't wear it. We decided to get a second ring that was a little more sturdy, and a little more value for our money. My husband is a farmer and wears this every day, and the ring still looks exactly the same as when we took it out of the box.

I bought this ring for my husband because he needed a "scratch proof" ring. Our wedding was in October, by November the ring started turning gray. Now it lookes so faded my husband hates it and so do I! I want to buy him another one but this makes me question whether or not I should by from overstock again or spend the extra $$ at a jewlery store. I contacted Overstock right away when I noticed it had faded and they said they couldnt do anything about it. Seriously it looks soo cute on here but it's a waste of money.
