I bought this ring for my husband for his birthday. He had a necklace a couple of years ago, lost it and had been wanting something similar. This ring is beautiful! The onyx really makes it stand apart from the others. If you look really close, there are some small flaws in the outline of the cross - the lines are not straight. Even with these imperfections, the ring still stands out. My husband absolutely loves it! And to me, that is all that matters.

The rings were both beautiful when I opened the box, but within hours each of them did the exact same thing, and that is they started to discolor around the entire band of the ring. The silver just lost it's color and started to tarnish and get very flat and various colors appeared on the silver banding. Was supposed to be sterling silver, and a quality sterling does not discolor as both of them did. The replacement ring did exactly the same thing. It was a present for my grandson's 13th birthday, and I am disappointed and embarassed.

My son (33) likes the iron cross so when I found this ring I thought it would be a fun gift for his birthday. I liked the weight of it but the black surface cross part makes it look cheap. I wish I had purchased the one in all sterling with just the outline of the cross.
