  The only negative part of this locket is that it doesn't include the picture template that's included with other lockets. It's that clear piece of plastic that protects the picture and acts as a template for sizing your photo. Along with this the back part of the locket isn't flat. It has a bow to it which makes fitting a photo inside a little tricky. My solution was cutting out a piece of two sided tape and pressing it against the back side of the locket so that the photo could be pressed into place and held there by the tape. It worked wonderfully!.

  I got the Marcstite heart locket today and loved it as soon as I put it on. It's a good length, and didn't flip over even though I was walking my dogs at a fast clip. Sometimes I may wear it so the other side shows because it's also very attractive (like getting 2 for the price of one). It's large--a photo would fit in nicely... or perhaps a love note :) What a great deal!! (If anything I've said is changed or modified, I won't write any reviews in the future)

  I purchased this for a dear friend that lost her mom this past year. She and her mother have garnet as their birthstone and I thought she'd like to have it to put a photo of mom in. I haven't seen this yet, but she was thrilled when she received it. She said it was about the size of a quarter and was light weight so that it was comfortable to wear. She loved the sparkle of the marcasite and the off centered garnet made the piece unigue. Can't wait to see it this summer when I visit.
