Malaika Sterling Silver Green Amethyst and Diamond Accent Ring

Wow....opened up the box and was so excited. It was beautiful! I immediately got compliments on it. Less than 24 hours later, I fortunately heard the stone hit the table as it just plopped out of the setting.Bummer

the stone itself is absolutely beautiful for the price. it is a great size (not too large, yet large enough to be noticed). the stone sparkles and in certain light it looks like sea glass green. in other lights, the stone looks almost clear. one thing i did not like was you can see through the stone and see your skin underneath making it look more like glass than a gemstone. the leaf design looks incredibly cheap, detracts from the ring, is dull and the diamonds are of horrible quality. they are dull, cloudy and dark. the prongs look cheap as does the silver band. it is a shame the designer had to add the leaf design, it would look so much better if they used a simple prong and a simple thin band. i ended up returning it due to the cheapness of the ring and i felt it wasn't worth the cost to have the stone removed and placed on a different ring by a jeweler. i also found the ring size to be inaccurate, it ran 1/2 size too big for me. i ended up buying the sheila kay platinum overlay green amethyst ring from overstock instead. it should arrive in a week so i am hoping this one will be better!

• How did the image on site compare with the actual product? the stone is slightly lighter in color. the leaf design on either side of the stone looks much cheaper and duller in person and the diamonds were dark and cloudy.
• How accurate was the sizing? i have a ring that is a size 6 that is too tight on my finger so i ordered a size 6.5 and it was way too loose and almost fell off. i would order a half or full size smaller than what you would normally wear.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. the stone is gorgeous, large, shiny and is cut beautifully. unfortunately the leaf design, the prongs and the silver band look very cheap. the leaf design is dull and lacks the shine seen in the photo. the diamonds are of horrible quality, dull, dark and cloudy.

i love this ring and looked for something that i could wear to dozens of holiday parties that wouldn't be so distinct. i got tons of compliments on the ring and the pale green Amethyst allows me to wear it with a multitude of dresses. It has just the right sparkle without being gawdy. The sizing was a little large for my finger. I have long narrow fingers and i usually wear a 7. I probably could have done with a 6.5 but probably not a 6. so i added and sizer inner ring to the frame and it works just fine. I love wearing this wear. Super special!

Very nice party piece, a little big for everyday but I still do:) I mix it with my white gold and it looks great.
