I have a half dozen other Maddy Emerson necklaces; they are unusual and I love them. This is the first that did not came in its own lovely pouch and also the first I have an issue with. The necklace itself is nice but that catch has to go! The spring loaded circle is very large and the the other end of the necklace attachment cirlcle is too difficult to insert or extract. The catch keeps sliding so that it make it nearly impossible to keep in a steady position to open. It took me, no kidding, 15 minutes to remove the necklace, until I figured out what the problem was. This is going to the jeweler's and I will pay to have a lobster claw closure instead. Then - it will be a lovely necklace! Otherwis, quality is good. Gave it 3 stars for the nuisance factor..

I am very happy with my purchase. It goes with almost any outfit and it helps to dress up the more simple blouses I wear. You will experience problems with taking the necklace off due to the clasp and will most likely need assistance from someone to remove the necklace however I am very pleased with my purchase.

i bought this necklace because i liked the look and also because of the otehr great reviews. it does not disappoint. i wore it with a bright blue cardigan over a white tank and black pants to work and it looked great. quality is good and it's a nice chunky piece which i prefer.

i thought this was an endless neckless but it is really multistrand. however, i still like it and am keeping it i am wearing it now. looks great with my black outfits. the pearls look good and the onyx beads sparkle the clasp is interesting and i wouldnt reccomend if you have dexterity issues it is like a huge spring clasp but it is through another ring so that it can rotate it around making it hard to open. beads are not individualy tied like i thought i read on there. they have a little silver bead inbetween.

ok...love the pearls and agate but not the closure part of the necklace. made the necklace look and feel cheap, so i took the necklace apart and restrung and made three long strands to wear and actually like this better. sorry to say i redesigned it but like i said the pearls and such are beautiful!!!

This necklace was a gift for my mom. It arrived earlier than expected and in a beautiful jewelry bag. The necklace is stunning. My mom loved it and I am thinking about getting one for myself. It is worth every dollar and more.

This necklace is a soso piece, OK for work or casual wear...IF you can operate the utterly ridiculous clasp AND get the strands to lay correctly. It's cheap and I suppose if I liked it enough I would explore having another fastener put on it. But as it is, it simply isn't worth the time effort and extra money. I am so irked because I ordered the matching bracelet before I received the necklace so I'll be stuck paying for that return also. To annoy me even more, I ordered another Maddy Emerson necklace that also has a chintzy clasping mechanism that will need to be returned too. Will I ever learn?

I received them yesterday (I got the matching bracelet too) and immediately started wearing them. They are lovely. Good quality too.
