This a very dainty and pretty watch and the reason I ordered real gold was due to the fact that "GOLDTONE" watches always rub off and lose their color. I really like it but it is small. I wear another mesh bracelet next to it and it compliments the watch. All in all a nice watch for the money!

I ordered two of these. One was perfect. The other one had clearly been returned by someone else (arrived in a presentation box that had been taped together) and was not the same quality as the first. I think this accounts for some of the discrepancies in the reviews.
The "perfect" watch had an ivory mother of pearl face. The bad watch had a gold-toned watch face. The bad watch had a defective latch which someone had tried to repair (signs of a sloppy soldering job).
I think it is pretty much "hit or miss" as to which version you'll receive. I'd avoid this watch if you don't want to waste time/money on exchanges. Otherwise, this is a lovely, dainty watch which is perfect for a smaller wrist.

The watch came with back off and not working.Clasp did not hold the watch on wrist and the saftey latch was bent. A 14k gold watch at this price seemed to good to be true. It was flimsy and unimpressive. I took watch to a my jeweler who said he could not repair the watch. He asked what I paid , I told him close to $400. He said it wasn't worth getting a replacement and to send it back.

If i were 5'6 or shorter and didnt care about the time I would love this watch. I really wanted a solid gold watch but I am 6 feet tall and this skinny little watch looks terrible on me and it didnt fit. This is truly a watch for superskinny tall women or a short or petite women. It is lovely, dont get me wrong but upsetting that I couldnt even see the time and it was too tiny for my figure. I am not overweight I am average to toned, but It just didnt look right. Im still looking I want a watch that i can pass on as a family heirloom, what better than a solid gold watch. The price is phenomenal. I do recommend it but not for the big boned or tall.

It has a nice look to it, especially the bracelet. Although the face is not as large as it looks on the display, it's easy to tell the time. I was going to return it because the bracelet is kind of big for me but I am going to wear it as a bracelet for its prettiness.

Perfect watch for a far better than average price! This watch is a magnificent work of craftsmanship and I would recommend this piece for anybody looking for a great value to bring a smile to that someone special in your life.

I bought this watch as a gift. The first one sent didn't work. O'stock was FABULOUS about the return--I could not have asked for nicer people or an easier system. The second works beautifully. The watch is even better looking in person and the value was pehenomenal. The recipient (my mom-in-law) is so pleased!

The watch is a very beautiful but delicate. It's appearance is stunning, The stem on the first watch came off while trying to adjust the time, Overstock replaced the watch (customer service was great watch arrived within a week) Second watch seems to be working fine.

Beautiful watch; however, the clasp was way too easy to come open and latch was too loose to close tightly. Took it to my jeweler and this was fixed and now it is fine, but I would definitely inspect it before wearing as you could lose it.

This is more of a bracelet than a watch. It's very dainty too. It's not made for a woman with substantial arms. I wore it briefly. Then the gold bar that represented the number 4 on the watch face dislodged and was floating around in the watch face. Needless to say, I returned it. It's a pretty little watch, but you are rolling the dice.

I have small wrists and this watch is perfect for me. It is elegant without being overstated and I have had no problems with the clasp as stated in other reviews. The price was great - hard to believe I could own a gold watch at that price. Thank you Overstock!!!

I purchased this watch as a retirement gift for my housekeeper who had worked for us for 28 years. I was proud to give it to her because it was a very pretty watch and so dainty. I would actually love to have one for myself for dress occasions because of the lovely gold bracelet styling and the beautiful stem. The safety clasp is an added benefit.

Don't let all the references to "petite" women stop you from ordering this watch. I am 5'9" and NOT skinny and I love it. It is daintier than my old watch and so light I can hardly tell when I have it on. I have had NO problems with the catch and I work a pretty physical job and don't baby my watch. The band is much prettier than the picture and the mother of pearl face is very nice. This was a pretty big purchase for me (I'm stingy) and I am very happy with it.

My wife liked everything about this watch except that the band/bracelet was not adjustable and her wrist is very small. Therefore, the watch would constantly shift into a position where she could not read the time. She wants me to return the watch.

This is a gift for my Mother-inlaw's 80th Birthday. She has a delicate wrist and this watch's braclet matches that. This is the 4th Lucien Picard watch I've purchased from Overstock and have yet to be disappointed. This price for 14k is great!
