I'm particular about watches.I was looking for an everyday watch which would be durable, but still be a real watch.The Longines Automatic is a real watch. Be careful, Longines also makes quartz watches, not that there's anything wrong with that. But I have to have an automatic watch.This watch is medium size, 46mm across, all the way out to the protected stem. The water resistance is huge: 1000m, with the screw in crown. It has a rotating bezel for time-recording. The crystal is somewhat protected by the bezel. This could be better.The box is impressive, this watch would make a fantastic gift.Drawbacks: The luminosity of the hands is not as strong as I would like. Middle of the night time checks don't always work. However it's better than my other Longines Automatic which has no luminous hands at all! The crystal could be protected a little better by the bezel.All in all, this is the best value in Swiss Made watches I can find.
