I was so excited to get this ring. I have purchased many items from Overstock and have never been disappointed until now. I do not wear my ring all day nor do I shower or wash with it on. After a week, the band had tarnished to the point that it really isn't wearable anymore. The stones are beautiful and sparkly, but the band ruins it. If it were sterling, it would be a wonderful ring. I'm really disappointed in this one and cannot recommend it to anyone. To me it is a big waste to have great stones and a crappy band.
How did the image on site compare with the actual product? The ring is gorgeous! I love the stones, the fire in them is very realistic
How accurate was the sizing? I have just lost 55lbs so ordered a 5 and it's a little loose but overall, close to accurate
Please tell us about the quality of the product. The stones are great, but the metal on the band tarnished within a week of me purchasing
I've had this over a month now, and I've been wearing it daily as intended. How the band has tarnished, I tried cleaning it with silver polish but no good, it's just tarnished. Whatever "silvertone" is clearly it is not silver or maybe silver does that and I just don't know. Anyway disappointed at the quality overall structurally it was well made but the materials was not good
How did the image on site compare with the actual product? The image was representative
How accurate was the sizing? The sizing was perfect
Please tell us about the quality of the product. poor, very poor
Silverstone three-stone CZ engagement ring : The product was of high quality the CZ were extremely impressive. One would compare this ring to the same quality offered on QVC or HSN. You won't be disappointed for the price you paid.
How did the image on site compare with the actual product? Accurate to the photo
How accurate was the sizing? Very accurate
Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very high quality
I was very disappointed with this ring given all the reviews. It's not at all believable! The CZs are fine, providing plenty of sparkle. It's the band that's the problem. It's coated in mystery metal that is obviously not silver, let alone gold. The band has rough edges that you can feel. Back it goes!
Will brass make your finger turn green over time and will water effect the quality and maybe cause the ring to turn finger greensli1973 on Apr 19, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hi sli1973, thank you for your inquiry. Silver and gold jewelry can produce a discoloration, so advice for avoiding a green finger isn't as simple as just avoiding cheap jewelry. However, certain metals are less likely to turn green than others. You should have good luck with stainless steel jewelry, platinum jewelry and rhodium plated jewelry, which includes nearly all white gold. Also, you'll greatly reduce the chance of any ring turning your finger green if you take care to keep soap, lotions and other chemicals away from your ring. Remove your rings before bathing or swimming, especially in saltwater. Some people apply a polymer coating to their rings to act as a barrier between their skin and the metal of the ring. Nail polish is one option. Be aware you'll need to reapply the coating from time to time, since it will wear away. We hope this helps. overstockcustomercare1 on Apr 24, 2014
