I love this ring for its unusual design and quality workmanship. The mabe pearl is not real. It is colored in a bluish-lilac shade (not as dark as it appeared in the photo online), but its color changing under different light actually makes it interesting looking. The diamond is barely noticeable. Still, I like the ring for its retro look and wear it often.Read More

This is a gorgeous, unique ring that you can wear with dark red nail polish and know that your hands will look like those of an elegant lady of fashion. The ring and setting makes it look elegant and delicate-looking while the mabe pearl gives it real substance, a great-looking cocktail ring that's not over the top so you can wear it to the office. It looks like something your grandmother wore in the mid-20th century and passed down to you. Without a doubt, Audrey Hepburn would have worn this ring and you can't top something Audrey would have worn! Go for it, you would be hard-pressed to find such a unique pearl ring that isn't ultra-modern--classic is always "in" and this ring will be as well!Read More
My husband had a gift certificate, and he wanted me to choose something I'd love. I looked through every ring on this site, and to say that I chose carefully is an understatement. I chose this ring because the gold is solid (not plated), because the pearl is grade A, because the pearl is largely untreated (except the dye), and because there are prongs to help keep the pearl in the ring. The things that almost turned me away from the ring were: I thought that the pearl looked a little "roughed up", and I thought the setting looked a little "pre-tarnished". I wasn't sure that the piece would be of the quality that I knew my husband would want. I was also concerned about the size of the ring. I wanted a large ring, but I have small hands and short fingers, so I wasn't sure how large would be too large. I needn't have worried on any of these counts. The ring arrived today. The gold is shining and absolutely gorgeous. The pearl is lustrous (like a South Sea pearl). It's blue-black, rather than matte black, as the photo implies. It stands fairly high up off of my hand (important to know, if you plan to wear it every day). And, on my very small hands, it takes up about half of the distance to my first knuckle. Like the other reviewer said, it's elegant and classic. I am absolutely thrilled with my choice. I also got the insurance. I've never done that before, but my husband insisted. I hope not to need it, and I don't know how it works, but if anything happens, I'll come back and update the review. For now, I highly recommend the ring. It's just beautiful.Read More

Pearl Creation Fact Sheet
Pearls are the product of a living creature. Mollusks living in saltwater and fresh water have been forming pearls for over 500 million years. Coveted for their simplicity and color, these organic gems are often set into pearl necklaces, rings, earrings and other jewelry pieces. Unlike gems that evolve from minerals in the earth's crust, pearls begin their creation as a reaction to foreign matter inside a shell-covered mollusk. Pearl jewelry is an homage to the beauty of nature and time.
