    Such a good deal I had to buy two. The basic leather strap, distinct lack of luxory features, and completly unrecognizable brand name make it very unlikely to be stolen by a petty criminal without an eye for true value. What most potential buyers also fail to percieve is that what this apparently flagrantly overpriced time piece lacks in tangible value (gold, diamonds, ect) it makes up for in another way. The "ICW Men's IW524205 Portuguese Minute Repeater White Gold Watch" actually has the astounding capability to literally REPEAT your MINUTES. Thats right, this quality time piece can extend your days by repeating miutes. Particularly useful in my frequent space flights, intercourse, and certianly just to bask in the glory of your well invested small fortune.

  • Not for most people.

    The Minute Repeater complication is one of the most difficult mechanisms and thus expensive complications to be built in a watch. Developed to be able to tell time audibly without lumination or for the visually impaired back in 1676. It was a luxury back then, it is even more so today. It was for the wealthy then, it's for the wealthy now. If you are truly into the mechanics as these are not quartz battery powered (in case that was not apparent) and appreciate the finer craftsmanship then this is not as far fetched. By the way in the world of minute repeaters, this one is probably the most affordable, not to mention you could sell this 5 years down the line and recoup 80-90% of what you paid, keep it for 10 years then you probably get more than what you paid. Try that with a car!!

    I highly recommend this watch. One can't tell the difference between it and a cheap imitation leather band Timex. This is a good thing as it makes you comfortable to mingle with the lesser/common folk.

    While the sapphire crystal and quality leather strap will sustain the abuses of daily wear, one must always be conscious that the bezel is of gold. An 18kt bezel will inevitably show marks with daily use.
