This watch is powered by automatic movement which means the winding of the spring occurs automatically when the wearer moves his/her arm. However, it is recommended that you manually wind the watch at least once every two weeks. It is also important to adjust the time once a month as automatic movement can gain or lose a few minutes per month.
This watch has a screw-down crown for setting the time. Screw-down crowns create a stronger seal against the case than a push-and-pull knob, giving the watch a greater water resistance factor. To unscrew the crown, grasp the knob and turn it counter-clockwise (towards you) a number of times until it releases. Then pull or push the crown into position to set the time, date, and other functions. To close the crown, press it against the case while turning in a clockwise direction.

Although not that many people know about IWC as they do with Rolex and Omega, this watch on my wrist received more compliments than any other brands I wore. The watch has a low-key design, yet it is able to maintain a luxurious and classic look, giving it an ever-lasting beautiful appearance and value. The IWC Spitfire Mark XV is like an old oil painting; it may not be as striking as MONA LISA at the first sight, and/or people may not have the knowledge of the rich historical background of its artist, but it somehow mysteriously captures and holds the attention of those who look at it. It is a masterpiece in its own quiet way. I am glad that I included this watch in my collection, and thank you, Overstock, for making it possible.
