- This watch has a screw-down crown (knob) for setting the time. Screw-down crowns create a stronger seal against the case than a push-and-pull knob, giving the watch a greater water resistance factor. To unscrew the crown, grasp the knob and turn it counter-clockwise (towards you) a number of times until it releases. Then pull or push the crown into position to set the time, date, and other functions. To close the crown, press it against the case while turning in a clockwise direction.

Previous reviewer didn't read description "screw"
To the reviewer who complained that the crown could not be pulled out to set the time, all you needed to do was read the description of the watch. It says, "screw down crown." A screw down crown must be unscrewed to be pulled out from the watch bezel. Once the time is set, it must then be screwed back in. If you were simply pulling on the crown without unscrewing it, there was no way the crown was going to open.

CAUTION!
Although this is a gorgeous watch, the crown cannot be pulled out to adjust the time. My husband tried and even used pliers over a cloth to pull it out to no avail. This is the second watch and it has the same problem. It list under a girls watch and I brought it for my granddaughter and I was going to keep it for myself .High style and perfect even for a senior citizen. LOL Wish they had inspected prior to shipment!
