  • Great watch just too small

    Aug 6, 2014

I currently own a few Hamilton wathes and they are reliable and nice looking. This watch is too small for me other than that I would have several more.

  • Beautiful watch, Short band

    Apr 7, 2012

kailub0y  from Los Angeles, CA, Rating:4.0

I bought this watch so I can have a daily watch with a black face. The case is huge , face and side. The titanium case lessens the weight of this massive watch. I have been wearing this watch on and off for about 3 weeks now and I can tell that the quality is up to par with more expensive watches. My only complain is that the band is too short, I wanted to buy a new longer band but I cannot seem to find the right one for the watch, and the lock has very sharp edges, it did catch my pants at one time and my arm but other than that I am quite satisfied with it.

  • Uncormfortable, stiff buttons

    Jun 7, 2011

opdefend  from San Antonio, Texas, Rating:2.0

I really wanted to like this watch. This was my birthday self-present, eagerly awaited. The main reason I could not keep it is because it is uncomfortable. Despite the titanium case, the watch is very heavy. It is almost 2 cm thick, and the contact area between the back case and the wrist is relatively small; thus, there is a lot of pressure on the wrist. This watch was designed for looks, not for comfort. I was also disappointed with the crown to adjust the watch, and the stop/reset buttons. The watch can be hand-wounded, which is a plus, but the winding is difficult because of the size of the crown. The stop/start/reset buttons are together in the lower canteen cap. These buttons are difficult to press; they must be pressed hard, which makes operation of the chronograph function inconvenient. The crystal has two magnifying lenses, for the date and chronograph minute count. The face rings are a bit obtrusive, and can interfere with the reading of the minute and hour han...

  • Really nice automatic watch

    Mar 5, 2014

    jeffhilby  from Chicago, Rating:5.0

I've owned a few watches in my life, mostly Swiss made but this is my first automatic, mechanical watch. I always felt mechanical movements would cost a fortune but after doing some research I found several under *** that were well made and had positive reviews. The more I found out about the Hamilton brand the more interested I was in the history of the name . Mostly an American company currently made with a genuine Swiss movement. Win win, right? The watch has a feel about it that reminds me of true craftsmanship and makes me want to wear it all day. Good size and weight, the band is made of quality leather, and it is comfortable. The face of the watch is basic and classic, and I imagine it's not far off from the military style watches worn in combat. At the same time, it has character and can easily be worn on nearly every occasion. Keeps accurate time too! Probably should have mentioned that first seeing that it's a watch! Highly recommended.
