The piece overall is very nice! the garnet stone that I got is much darker than the one in the picture, and a little hard to tell that it is supposed to be heart shaped. The "stones" along the side are really just bumps in the metal made to look like tiny diamond chips from far away. That being said, the pieice is a good size andheavy, not flimsy and looks very nice around my neck.

I bought this for my sister as a mother's day gift from her son. He won a garnet in a contest and the jewelry store offered sterling silver settings for the stone that were through the roof in cost! The necklace is not perfect, butI found it to be crafted beautifully and the red diamond was exceptionally gorgeous. While it isn't the most expensive necklace around, it doesn't display its cheaper price from pure silver necklaces nor does it shout INEXPENSIVE. A perfect illusion of jewelry.
