the main gem was chipped. I didn't know why it was wiggling left and right until I took a closer look at it and found the chipped corner. I'm returning the product as a result, but the necklace is very pretty nonetheless. Also, gotta say Overstock has very customer friendly return policy . The Amethyst one the necklace I got is a few shades darker than what appears to be in the picture btw. I would replace the chain as the pendant looks much more expensive than the chain .Even though the design of the chain is unique, it just doesn't seem to compliment the pendant in my opinion .

This is a substancial necklace, the stone is quite large and is the drop is lovely and dramatic. If you are considering buying, it's a great value and a stunning necklace.

The amethyst version is very similar to the carribean blue which I also love. Both have very large clear stones with nice color. This stone is more of a checkerboard cut, whearas the carribean blue was flat on top. Both are quite lovely. The amethyst is set on top of a raised platform surrounded by the czs. It's very pretty and the triple chain adds to the design. The stone is a nice size; quite substantial. This is pretty and a good value; a perfect fit for me.
