Let me start by saying, I love the setting of this ring. The size and comfort were great too. My main complaint is you can cleary tell it's plated gold and that the white topaz on the sides of the ring really don't stand out much. They are really small and I don't think have much sparkle. CZ's would have been a better choice IMO. The stone is cut nicely. It's a darker smokey topaz like the photo shows. If you like the look of Monet Jewelry, like they sell at Macy's, then you might really like this ring. If you're looking for something to look more real, or to get that feeling that "I can't believe I got this for this low price", you may be disappointed. Unlike most of Overstock's jewelry, I think it doesn't look that great for the price I paid. I ordered another topaz ring at the same time and it has much more sparkle and the gold plating looks more like real gold. Hope this helps you with your dicision, I was swayed by the rave reviews and I just don't think this one deserves them. Oh, and on a side note, this does not come in a "wooden box as stated", unless you consider that cardboard used to be wood? It came in a cardboard box with a cellophane window on top that has "Sterling Silver" stamped on top. Sort of ironic looking because you see a gold (looking) ring through the window.

This ring is exactly as pictured. The setting is quite high and large but overall, I loved this purchase!

I bought this ring to give to my mom for Mother's Day. It was beautiful! She wears larger rings, and this ring suited her perfectly. It's a gorgeous smoky quartz and a very unique setting and the ring looks like it cost much more than it did. It will look great with a vintage smoky quartz bracelet that she's had for years. So glad I decided to buy this ring for her.

It was bigger than it looks. I contemplated returning it until my friend saw in loved it. She has great taste!
