looked just as it did online. color of garnet is very good. garnet not cloudy or brownish at all. decent size bale so you can have other chains with it that fit through the bale.

Mom turned 88 on Jan 8 of '08 and I wanted to give her something special. I was undecided between the Marcasite silver cross and the garnet (her birthstone) "gold". I decided to purchase both, the marcasite for Christmas and the garnet for her birthday and what a success they both were! The garnet cross is simple, elegant and shows beautifully - a "steal of a deal". Go ahead and buy it if it's still available!

I think the picture online doesn't give the cross justice. It is just beautiful. The ends have little diamond chips and they sparkle. I bought it as a gift for my aunt, and I'm sure she'll like it.
