Fell in love with this ring online. In person, the stone is not a beautiful smoky color - it's transparent purple and has gold streaks on it. Looks hideous and cheap and it's being returned.

I really like the looks of this ring on my finger and the colors good well with brown clothing

This ring is NOT anywhere near pinkish red. It looks like a garnet- brownish red. Half the stones down one side were missing and the rest of the clear stones were VERY small. NO sparkle. The only thing I liked about this ring was the cushion cut of the center stone. Unfortunately, with the poor quality mounting I wouldn't have kept it even if I had wanted a garnet. I'm sorry to have to go through the trouble to return this.

Stone did not appear as red in person as it does on my screen, looked like a reddish brown. The side detail was ok but again not as impressive on my hand. Stone looked like it would get easily scratched, I returned mine.

The image showed nice clear gems but when the actual ring arrived I found large brown dots in the center of three of the gems. this is embarassing and very upsetting as I have no choice now but to give the ring to my spouse for the upcoming holiday. Hopefully it doesn't bother her but I will NOT be shoppiing at overstock.com again and I suggest you avoid them as well. waste of time and money.

I was looking for a brown gemstone ring in gold. There are a lot of smokey quartz rings out there in gold plated silver, but very few in real gold. This ring was exactly what I was looking for. Lots of sparkle, great price!

I'm not very familar with the smoky quartz gemstone, brown is not my favorite color but I have many animal print outfits so I needed a ring to go with them. I like to match my jewery with my clothing, I'm a matchy matchy girl. the stone is a pretty bronze in the sunlight and med brown inside the house. Will go perfectly with any color.

I have been looking for a large Garnet cocktail for quite a while. This ring was worth a try, but just not for me. The stone size is large however it is very flat without much definition. I have other Emerald cut gemstone rings that are much fuller and deeper. Also the band is very thin. I did like the color of the stone, a nice deep red, not brown like some.

I purchased this ring expecting the smokey dark quartz as shown in the photo. However, the gemstone used is significantly lighter (more like an extremely light brown). I've noticed this is often mentioned in other reviews as well. It would be nice to be shown pictures of the rings that are more accurate in terms of the actual gem color.

This ring does not disappoint. The colors of the gemstones go so well together and the diamonds top it off with glittering elegance. I almost purchased this same ring at another vendor for about a hundred dollars more, so the price is great too.

I like this ring and got it for the brown color. However, it is much darker than what is shown in the picture, so I am disappointed it looks more like onyx than brown. It is a very pretty ring though.

This was clearly not a smokey quartz. The stone color is a flat, dark brown. Very disappointed.
