Evoke the exotic with this handmade violet amethyst necklace. This gorgeous creation features five separate strands of amethyst stones in shades ranging from pale lilac to deep purple. On either side of the necklace is a focal design element made up of small round silver beads and a large silver bead with intricately etched line detail.
Amethyst, or purple quartz, has been used by many cultures throughout history to make jewelry as well as other decorative and functional items. The stone has been associated with royalty in both Britain and Egypt, while in Tibet it is considered a sacred Buddha stone.

Great gift idea!

A nice necklace
This substantial necklace makes its visual impact with ample ropes of color but does not lie heavy on the neck. I bought it specifically to donate to a charity auction and was not disappointed when it arrived. It was popular at the silent auction and sold well so I'm not the only person who liked it. Though I donated it, I would wear it myself anytime.
