I bought this ring as a gift to myself as commeration to achieving several personal goals. I wear it as a right hand ring. Let my start my review with the statement, "I love jewelry." Indeed, I love it so much I study gemology in my spare time, have considered going back to school to attain this degree, and have been hired by three jewelry shops during Xmas because I helped another customer sort through the C's when the staff was too busy to help him. I also love the Asscher cut. However Asscher cuts, like Emerald cut, is not a cut that can handle a poor quality/cheap diamond. Due to the stairstep nature of the facets, EVERY flaw in the stone will be visible. When my ring arrived, I was beyond pleased. Since Asschers arent deeply cut, more of the surface area of the stone is on the "face" Thus this 1/3 carat Asscher LOOKS bigger than my 1/2 carat round brilliant diamond (i.e. surface area vs. weight). The center stone is colorless. The side stones "blend" into the ring but grab the light for sparkle areound the center stone to highlight it. This ring is classy and sophisticated, in the sense of "old money." Although the center stone is an SI-SI2 level of quality, I can not see ANY inclusions to the naked eye or with a magnifying glass. Thus, I think the quality of the stone may be more of a VS2 than an SI-SI2. Exellent craftsmanship

i got this as my engagement ring... and i love it!! it sparkles so much, especially in the light. it has an antique look to it and is just such an original looking ring. i catch people looking @ it all the time, it's very noticeable, even though the ring is only a 1/2 carat... i can't wait to show it off!! very, very pretty ring:)

i was completely surprised with the size of the stone --- i have 1/2 carat stones and this ring's stones look much bigger. its not huge but surprisingly good size for 1/2 carat. overall, i LOVE it. my only concern is that the ring's band is so tapered --- the bottom part of the ring is so thin. i am bringing this to my jeweler just to get his opinion if this concern of mine can be easily remedied in case it "breaks". seriously, i hope my jeweler gives it a thumbs up. i want to keep this ring because the clarity of the stones look good and has just the right sparkle.

This ring is perfect! It may be a 1/2 carat, but appears to be much more. The ring sits very high which looks great, but can be frustrating if you use your hands a lot. We receive compliments on the ring almost daily. Very proud of this ring for its look and low cost!

So I read a ton of reviews, I looked at alot of rings in stores...I researched my can off and I will tell you that this ring (so far) is perfect...It arrived in two days, it is a perfect size for a 6..and doesn't need to be sized at all...a full carat would have been too big and a 1/2 too small...this is a great ring and we are so happy....we went and got our bands today and a jeweler said our ring was beautiful and amazing. I will recommend this ring and company to many people...Thanks Overstock for making this time in our lives so special!

Was excited for this product to finally arrive. Based on the reviews i ordered it despite the low quality diamond. However i went to various local stores to see what this quality of diamond really looked like and really wasn't all that bad especially since we wanted to keep on a budget. At first arrival and glance, it was beautiful. Stunning design, look and feel. Diamond wasn't overtly sparkling but wasn't "dead" either. Still had decent sparkle despite its apparent low quality. However upon closer inspection is when it all started going downhill. When you looked closer to the main middle diamond and had a reflection on it, you could see what appeared to be a crack or scratch on it. I then took it to a jeweler and he continued to tell me that the diamond had a crack (probably from an imperfection within it originally) and had progressed into a full blown crack on one side of it. Now not only is that visually disconcerting, but also put the diamond at risk of chipping off completely. So the diamond wouldn't even survive for very long! He even showed me under the microscope. Clearly visible crack running from the side to the top table of the diamond. Again, i realize that the product said it was an I2 - I3 but any diamond with a visible crack running on the table of the diamond goes well beyond an I2 or I3 quality diamond. If this is how its intended to be sold it should be quite clear on the product page. I2-I3 inclusions should NOT include complete cracks as confirmed by a number of jewelers Not only that, the middle diamond was .56 in size and NOT 3/4 as stated. 3/4 is .75. .56 is pretty much a 1/2 carat. Very misleading. I understand its a "range" but ranging from a half carat to almost a full carat is sort of a big deal. This is potentially hundreds if not thousands of dollars difference in value! The jeweler now has matched the exact same ring and stone sizes to a new ring hes making for me for the exact same price. In fact the quality of the main stone will be an S1 now, again, for the same price! Im assuming perhaps the other people who bought this didn't get the same product as i did or else there's just no way they would give it 5 stars. Again, not too sure if this was just me and if you managed to get a great and non cracked diamond ring from here, well good on you! My recommendation is to take the risk out of the equation and see the diamond yourself in person before purchasing. However, if you're OK with the whole return process and have time to potentially go back and forth until you get something spectacular for the price, then perhaps try it and see if your luck turns out better than mine. Good luck!

This ring is spectacular. It's not too, too big (gaudy) but the diamonds are definitely stars of the show. It sparkles like crazy and I can't help but glance down at it throughout the day. I, like others, was leery of ordering jewelry online, but I'm thrilled beyonds words with this and so glad I did!! I took it to a local jewelry (due to my initial concern) and his exact words were, "You did really good. These diamonds are nice." I did decide to pair this with another purchase from Overstock of a 'matching' Anello band; it's a 1/3 carat princess cut diamonds band in white gold. Adding that to this already gorgeous ring...it completely set it off!!! I'm in love with them both!!! Wouldn't hesitate to shop with O again. Great experience and awesome results.

I looked at alot of different rings while on Overstock and I was actually shopping in a particular price range and this was one that just popped out at me. Of course guys you need to know what style she likes and this is the style that my girlfriend, excuse me fiancee likes. She swears up and down that it is not 1/2 carat but I have tried to convince her that it is. She just does not believe it and to be honest and I do not know alot about diamonds, this ring looks very good and appears to be more than 1/2 carat TDW. She has gotten nothing but compliments and if I could post a picture I would of it on her finger so you could get an idea. Buy this ring....you will not regret it.

The diamond size definitely does not correspond with what you see in the picture. I went to many jewelery stores to see how large the 1/4 carat was so I was not too shocked by the size. The setting is beautiful though. I love it. It is set high and the princess cut made it look a little larger than what I have seen at stores. The diamond is not of the best qualities. You can definitely see every inclusion which can be offsetting. Overall it is a pretty ring. I have received many compliments. Great for a proposal (if you are on a budget). I love it! (I have smaller than average fingers 51/2,6. The tinier your finger, the better it looks)

This was my anniversary gift for my wife of 18 yrs.. She have had the same 1 carat ring for 18 yrs now.. so I decided to purchase this ring.. at first I was afraid of ordering offline. I waited until the last minute to purchase this ring.. I have to pay for the 2 days shipping.. The ring was such a shocker. I had it shipped to my office. When I opened the box I was speechless. The ring was that shockingly beautiful. I let a person at the office see and she was like what the hay.... she called about 5 women over to see it.. and you know everyone wanted to try it on.. I said please give me back my wife's ring.. I also purchased the matching band.. by the way it is cheaper to buy the ring separate than as a set.. it is the same ring... But the ring was so beautiful... I had to give her the ring 3 days before our anniversary... Like I said she was shocked.. that is why I said the ring was a shocker.. the stones are so white and clear.. The ring is perfect size for the carats... I caught her looking at the ring all the time... She have gotten so man comments on the Ring... I love yellow gold... But you must get this ring in the white gold... a must.. Trust me this is the ring to get. I am going to have it appraised for insurance purposes.. But this ring is worth more than I paid for.. BTW this is same ring at ,,,,.. This an amazing Ring almost 3 Carats..

Beautiful ring! The main stone does have a very small but visible feather/inclusion but I expected that for the price and description (I2-I3). The 3 main stones are clear and sparkle beautifully! Looks much larger than 1 carat total weight. The small side/setting stones make for a lovely setting, all diamonds are clear/white and sparkle nicely. The setting is unique and really sets this ring apart. I almost looks antique to me. I like that I can admire it from the side (and while driving) as well. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, great price for a pretty ring. Held my breath until I opened the box but I was delighted once I did!! First gemstone purchase from Overstock, wouldn't hesitate to order again.

I have always loved rose gold jewelry & but it is difficult to find in jewelry stores except the kind with just rose gold accents on it; > " ( Black Hills Gold ) ". This is a gorgeous ring. I first ordered it in the 1/2 carat TDW but returned it because in the meantime I discovered O. also offered it in 1 carat TDW. I have been married for 35 years & was looking for a pretty ring to wear on my middle finger to complement my other jewelry. If you are a lover of rose gold like I am; this ring is perfect. FIVE ( very enthusiastic ) STARS!

If all you wanted to do was be able to say you gave your girl a 1 carat diamond, then this is definitely the ring for you. The setting is very nice and very feminine, which is what my girlfriend wanted, but the diamond has absolutely NO sparkle whatsoever. The cut looks very nice on it, but the color is closer to M-N than an I-J. It is very cloudy looking, almost to the point of being opaque. Light doesn't want to pass through it and the surfaces definitely aren't reflective. I would equate it to a piece of frosted beach glass. In general, I am very disappointed in this ring. I purchased my soon-to-be fiances promise ring three years ago on here as well and the diamond on this ring doesn't even remotely stand up to the ones on it when they are side by side -- and the diamonds on it were supposedly the same grade. Returning this one and getting a better one somewhere else.

My fiance and I spent awhile looking at rings in person and on websites. I ran across this ring and showed it to him, and we both fell in love with it. The reviews on this site are very accurate, and the price is unbeatable (I see similar rings on competitors sites selling for a higher price). The ring is small than in the picture, but it is absolutely beautiful. The diamonds look like they are better quality than suggested, and it's sparkle is amazing. The ring is very petite, but even with myself having larger hands/fat fingers it looks excellent. I have always loved smaller rings, and I wanted the perfect ring for the right price. I was even willing to look for fake diamonds or different gemstones, but this ring is above and beyond. It looks great in the box and it looks great on me. I don't see any reason to shell out tons of money when there are gorgeous and reasonably priced rings like this. The important thing to remember when purchasing this ring is that it is smaller than what the picture shows. If you are looking for a bigger/gaudy ring than this isn't the ring for you. If you like small, simple yet elegant looking rings then this is the PERFECT choice! If you like this ring but are looking for something bigger then I believe OS offers a 1/3 or a 1/2 carat ring for more money. I hope you enjoy your purchase and you can't go wrong with this ring. It looks way more expensive then what it actually cost.

This ring listed the price with $$$$, off~ $$$$$$ (%). But it just a 14k Gold 3/4ct TDW Round White Diamond. One center stone is 1/3 carat, side stones TDW ~1/2 carat. So I thought, this sale price just a fair value, not a much discount. I just don't understand why Overstock.com listed this ring with a % off. It is a good product, but is not worth over $$$$ any way.

I brought this ring to wear as my wedding band. It is small and dainty but I expected that as the description states the whole ring all together is 1/2 carat. This is what I wanted, a band of super sparkly diamonds to accent my one carat engagement ring. This ring pairs with my engagement ring really well. The combination is fantastic, the diamonds all sparkle like crazy. I am very pleased with this ring and it is cheaper, bigger, and of better quality than a wedding band I was going to buy elsewhere for double the price!

This is a very pretty ring that comes with an IGL certification. Keep in mind 1/4 carat is not very large, but it is a nice stone and setting - it would be appropriate for a small engagement ring. Lucida is a patented Tiffany's cut, and as far as I can tell (I'm not a jeweler) this is not a Lucida cut stone but only a Lucida style setting with a princess cut stone. Still very pretty and the Lucida setting is an elegant and classy setting. Being I1 H, the stone appears flawless, clear, and sparkly to the naked eye and is something you can feel okay about showing off even if it's not the biggest ring ever.

I got this as my 10th anniversary gift. I saw the picture and thought I was getting a ring that wows. The diamonds are much smaller than they look in the picture and look even smaller on the hand. I took this ring to a jeweler and he said the center stone is not 1/2 carat,is actually about 10 points smaller than that. I already had it sized and soldered to my wedding band by the time he told me this, so now I'm stuck with this ring. Please rethink.

this ring for its price surprisingly has substantial gold in it and the prongs are smooth (hardly snugs on clothes). the stone looked relatively bigger than my round diamond (also 1/4 carat) --- i think its the square (princess cut) shape that makes it look bigger ( i am not complaining -- i love it!). the stone is clear and sparkly but its not perfect (i checked it out using my loupe) but its imperfection is not seen with the naked eye. this ring is perfect for its price BUT the box is so tacky and terribly cheap looking ---- quick fix ---- buy a decent ring box if you are presenting this as an engagement ring so as not to ruin that romantic moment.

simple and beautiful. Judging off the image I would not expect this ring to be so pretty and sparkly. My fiancÚ proposed to me with a different, more expensive ring but due to my job, where I need to wash my hands multiple times per day or even per hour, I wanted a more simple and easier to wear ring with less diamond and sparkle, therefore I ordered two "back up" rings, the one in the image and the one with similar setting but of 1/4 carat diamond and $*** less in price...I was amazed how big of a difference there was between the two. I ended up keeping the more expensive one: the diamond is as sparkly as on my original 1 carat ring and the setting looks so clean and classy that it suits any occasion or outfit. I would be totally happy having this ring as my one and only engagement ring. No need to overspend. This ring is a steal.

I wrote a review three years ago and commented on the size of the band. Today, I am writing to let you all know that I had to take my ring twice to the local jeweler to have the center diamond tighten and then to have the prong tighten before I lost my diamond. The jeweler told me that the center diamond was a good cut and measured as 1 carat, but recommended that I swab the 4 pong for a 6 pong. I really don't think the diamonds on the side are real, because there are no breathing holes underneath them. The ring does have sparkle, but I would not pay what they are asking for it. I am glad we purchased this ring way under 2K.
Few pieces of jewelry are as important as an engagement ring. Whether you are hoping to surprise the love of your life with a stunning diamond or are picking out your own ring, you'll want to put some thoughtful preparation into the shopping process. With these tips, you can choose an engagement ring that will last a lifetime, just like your marriage.
Fine jewelry is an investment that can last for generations, so it's important to know how to buy diamonds before you start shopping. When purchasing diamond jewelry, pay attention to the four C's: color, clarity, cut, and carat weight. These are the four characteristics by which a diamond's quality is measured. If all four are ranked high, the diamond jewelry will cost more, but it will be that much more beautiful and valuable.
