14k Yellow Gold Emerald Huggies Earrings

got this today. the box where the earrings came in was just a simple cardboard box with overstock logo. the earrings were small but had good sparkles. I like the simple style...simply good color emerald and good workmanship. the gold weight was fine for the size. It

These are quite small but quite pretty. They hug my earlobes snugly. I think the small size contributes to the authentic, believable look. To me, these are not earrings to make a bold statement or to be noticed across a room. On the other hand, these earrings have a subtle, elegant presence and give only a flash of green color to be admired when looking closely at the wearers face. In spite of these being set in yellow gold, I plan on wearing these with some white metal pieces also because one notices mainly the emerald stones when wearing- not so much the yellow gold they are set in. In other words, this pair will match most of my other jewelry nicely in spite of being yellow gold set. I like them better once on; looking at them in my hand the emeralds appear a sort of light, clear green. When I wear them, they look like true grass green emeralds.

Extremely interestingly designed. these earrings are very unusual in that they are very conservatively designed and yet the color of the emeralds and the shining, deep, yellow gold make a totally opposite statement than the design. Still it works great.

These earrings are really a hit! they turn heads where ever I go. the color of the emeralds together with the yellow gold, just blows everyone away. they look and feel great.
