I've had this winder for about 5 years. After about 2 years, the lower part stopped working because I tried to load a watch in while it was winding. This was a bad idea. But in a closet, (this is not a display model!), or for travelling (who cares if it's lost or broken?) it does the job. It has way too many modes on the back for timing and cycles and whatever. I have never adjusted that and it kept my watches, at first, and now just one watch, wound. So it does the job. Get this before you go spend hundreds on something you may never use. Besides, all watch winders do is make you buy more watches. One other thing, this watch winder works for watches which are HUGE (45mm face) and for my huge wrist, because of the way you load it. A piece of paper towel or kleenex is used, folded up, to make up the difference, but once loaded, the winder works and is very quiet.
