Deep Green Serpentine Jade Necklace

Add an Eastern accent to a formal dress when you wear this handmade serpentine jade necklace. This gorgeous necklace features six strands of serpentine jade in tones of deep sea-green, brown, and black, cut into tiny cylinders and alternated with tiny round silver beads. The strands come together at a large silver heart pendant with etched line detail, from which another set of jade bead strands are suspended to form an attractive tassel effect.

The necklace is finished with two silver cone beads attached to a simple 'S' hook for easy closure. Jade has long been revered for its aesthetic value and as a symbol of all that is virtuous and precious. It has special significance in Asia, where it is associated with the Confucian qualities of wisdom, courage, empathy, justice and humility, as well as the concept of the female erotic.
