DaVonna Lime Green Freshwater Pearl Necklace and Earring Set (10-11 mm)

They are quite lovely, perfect and very unique. It looks very expensive and dressy. I am very pleased with my purchase. I would give it as a gift.

The pearl size and appearance for this necklace was like I expected from the photos and from the description. The color is a very close match to the photos, at least on my computer screen. I was looking for a particular color to go with some outfits, and this is great! Dark lime green, or maybe you could say it is the color of very bright cocktail olives. The downside is that the clasp is cheap and it was so hard to fasten that it got bent the first time I tried to wear it. Now it acts like a hook but won't stay inserted in the shaft which acts as a safety clasp. In other words, I can wear it but I have to be careful because it is only loosely hooked and could come undone while I am wearing it. I like the pearls and size and everything else, so I might have to take it in and get a new clasp, but that is an extra expense and bother, and the necklace was not that cheap. So now you have the pros and cons. If you love interesting pearls and love the color, get the necklace and be prepared for clasp issues. Oh, and I don't have pierced ears so I am not using the earrings. I do think the setting for the pearls on the earrings is a bit cheap looking. The great thing about the necklace is that you wear the clasp where most people don't see it. But the earring mounting is right on your earlobe where everyone will see. I might consider buying clip backs, taking the pearls off the earrings, and gluing them on to the clip so they look like a stud style.
