I was impressed in every way with this product, except for the chain. The chain was not at all what was in the item description, not a box chain but a cheap, very fragile 18" 14k white gold chain. Just yesterday in fact, my 1 year old grabbed the pearl (which is huge, and naturally beautiful, some little pock marks and all) and snapped the chain right off my neck. The pendant is totally worth the $... I've bought another sturdier chain to display it on, from Overstock of course!

You do not really see the luster, quality, workmanship or beauty of this piece till you open up the package and look at it first hand. We buy pearls for a young lady for her birthday and now she is graduating from college and this will top her pearl collection. Thank you for making out job of getting a first notch gift so easy.

I was impressed by the pearl I received. Assuming it is a genuine South Sea pearl ( I hope it is, obviously, but did not take it to a jeweller for appraisal ) it is an excellent value for the money. The bail is extremely simple and elegant, the pearl has lots of luster. I'm very happy with my purchase.

The chain ia so thin and slight you are afraid to wear it. The overall pearl jewelry is not lusterous and beautiful--it looks tired....and smaller than I expected. This was overstock that should not have been turned over.

The size of the pearl is wonderful ut the chain is too tiny. The chain needs to be a larger size link.

I ordered this pendant and ended up sending the first one back because the pearl was so poorly shaped. It was very lumpy and did not meet the mount in many places around the edges, with gaps big enough to fit a toothpick or pen point in. I could see adhesive of some sort from where the pearl was attached. So I contacted overstock and they mailed out a new one right away (which was nice, didn't have to send the first back before getting replacement). The second one was better, although still had small gaps around the perimeter. I am happy with the second one, and still have it. I actually like the fineness of the chain, which others have complained about. It might be too delicate for everyday wear, but I think it is a nice foil to the heavy pearl.

Besides the necklace being too thin and cheap-looking, the pendant is gorgeous!

Nice size pearl a couple of small blemishes, but the chain is way to small. Found a nice white gold rope chain that looks much nicer with this Pearl. Also found on OverStock . Of course as always OverStock was very fast on Delivery.

I had the earrings i bought a long time a ago and had been looking for the matching pendant. It matched perfectly to my earrings and I got compliments. The change though was too thin so you are actually paying for the pendant alone which is still good price

my husband got me this beautiful piece of jewelry for my 27th birthday and they're simply gorgeous! loved it to pieces! i wasnt a bit disappointed with the chain when he presented it to me coz he purchased another chain (also from this website) and replaced the original flimsy one that comes with it. the original chain is so thin and obviously looks cheap. but it's almost always true when buying necklaces-- you purchase the pendant separate from the necklace. i think with this necklace you're only paying for the pendant and overstock just added the flimsy chain as a bonus. so pls review the pendant and not the chain... anyway, this piece of jewelry could be worn in casual and formal settings... it looks good in a dressy outfit or in jeans. very elegant indeed! got lots of compliments on how beautiful the necklace is. went to LA chinatown this afternoon and the appraiser (who's been in business for over 20 yrs) said the pendant costs $400-$500 in chinatown but a lot more expensive in regular jewelry stores you find in malls. overstock is also consistent in their grading of this pearl... don't expect it to be very lustrous coz they honestly indicated that it's only a grade A. but still for a genuine south sea (even it's only a grade A) you could never beat the price here. thanks overstock!

Great pearl, heavier than I thought but that makes it feel even more genuine. Great for the price. Only drawback is the chain (seems to be a commong theme for this necklace). Very delicate and breaks easily, but even with buying a new chain the overall price is still much better than a hoity-toity jewelry store.

Pearl is very nice but the chain had to be replaced. It was just too "fine" for the pearl. It tangles in knots.
