Cultured Freshwater Pearl Jade Necklace (27 in.)

They are nice looking. However, because the stones are not real and have obvious air holes the value is very low. Definitely not worth the money I paid.

I got this as a gift for my grandmother, who is pretty classy and stylish and always put together well. When I got this in the mail I was initially very disappointed. The jade was pretty but the oval pearls, which look bronze/copper in the picture were in actuality bright and, to me, garish gold and the coin pearls are a bright, minty metallic color. This necklace is NOT subtle and earthy as it look in the picture. I didn't have time to return it before Christmas so I gave it to her with the promise before she opened it that if she didn't like it we could easily exchange it. Well, she wasn't thrilled I could tell, but was not initially revolted by it as I was. She wore it the next day with a cream blouse and an sage green jacket and got so many complements that we were forced to admit that a)perhaps our initial reactions had been a tad too harsh and b)it does look nicer on with the right outfit. It's not subtle that's for sure, definitely eye-catching. All said, I still wouldn't be caught dead in it.

The color of the necklace is beautiful, however, it seemed to be strung too tightly,so it would not lay right. Ended up using it as a chunky bracelet.

I got this for my mom for her birthday. She's a huge jade fan so I knew this would be perfect for her. The look on her face when she opened this necklace was priceless!! Thanks for helping me make my mom's birthday so memorable.

The actual necklace looks a lot lighter and CHEAP. Looks very plastic to me. I sent it back :-(
