I ordered the black pearls for my daughter for Christmas. One is very black and the other is definitely green based. They are the same size, but that is where the similarities end. It's a shame that the colors are so far off. I would not recommend buying jewelry here. I think this is something you need to see first and I have now found that Overstock is less than enthusiastic about returns. You need an authorization number, plus there is a restocking fee. I have ordered from Overstock several times before and never needed to return anything. Sadly, I hadn't read their return policy previously. You might want to.

I'm quite pleased with these earrings. Shipment was fast, so I could start wearing them right away! The "black" color (as has been noted by other reviewers) is closer to a dark blue or purple, but the light catches the nacre and sheen, and their slightly-iridescent tone goes well with a necklace I already own. They're very lightweight, you can hardly tell you're wearing them.

Very nice earrings! I love the style and the daintiness. They fit well, are very comfortable and easy to put in. The black pearl is beautiful. I purchased the black pearl but might also buy the white ones as well. I originally was looking for white pearl lever back earrings in this style but because of the negative reviews of the size of the hoops for this earring, I bought the larger size pearl lever back earrings thinking the hoops would be bigger. They are very nice too, however the pearl is larger than I would prefer. I like them and have worn them a lot. Since I didn't have any black pearl earrings and for my preference for the smaller size pearl, I decided to give the smaller earrings a try . And I am glad I did. I now know the hoops fit well, hoops are of average size, the pearl size is nice, and is perfect for me for daily wear. I measured the hoops between the smaller and larger pearl lever back earrings and they are both the same size. The wire seems to be a tiny bit thicker in the larger pearl earring. I would definitely recommend buying this earring, providing you like a more dainty style of earring. Nice quality, very pretty.

I just opened the package and am very pleased with the quality of these earrings. It should be noted that the color of the "black" pearls are closer to a very dark blue and was not exactly what I expected. I love the color however, and am looking for a matching strand to wear with them. The quality of the pearls is high, with them being a near perfect round shape with almost no visible flaws. The dark color does distract from the nacre a bit, but this is a gorgeous pair of earrings.

They look better then imagined. Very elegant and classy at a working girls price. Can't beat it!!!

I searched for a long time for pearl earrings like these that were affordable. I own a lot of fine jewelry but I wanted a pair of black and white pearl earrings that weren't so dressy or expensive for everyday wear.These were perfect and an awesome value for the size and quality. These earrings were just what I was looking for!

I was disappointed in the workmanship of the gold. The gold was thin and the color of the gold looked fake.

The earrings are exactly as described, and look better than the picture. They are beautiful, of high quality and well made. Tbey've become one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. Ordering and shipping was extremely easy, quick and painless.

I have purchased three sets of Cultured Akoya Black Pearl Leverback Earrings and three Akoya Black Pearl necklaces. The earrings are matched perfectly, but the color of the pearls are different in each set. Some are more blue or more gray, but all pick up the color you are wearing and go well with blue and black. Plus, they are so reasonably priced!
