Croton Women's Sport Quartz Watch

Wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this watch and am pleasantly surprised. I ordered it for casual, daytime wear (specifically for a vacation). The rubberized band was exactly what I was looking for. Very comfortable. Very classy and simple in style. Would make a beautiful gift as it arrived in what at least smells like a real leather moderate size jeweler-type box with stitching and that box comes in a nice heavy attractive cardboard box. Also comes with lifetime warranty (look inside top of box, there's a ribbon that pulls the warranty down). Seems to be one of the better buys I've made here at overstock. I highly recommend it.

It's hard to get excited about a plain and inexpensive looking watch and that's exactly what this is. It feels too light and the band is stiff and cheap looking. It looks like the inexpensive watches you can get at a drug store. In fact, its packaging was more fancy than the product. The product arrived with a dying battery (died the next day) and I really haven't worn it. The only saving grace was that the overstock staff was WONDERFUL in taking care of the dead battery; they were in regular contact with me after my initial complaint and tried to get a new battery from the manufacturer's repair dept. Despite their much appreciated efforts, (in the end they gave me a 20 dollar credit toward a new battery) the watch continues to languish on my dresser. I will recommend Overstock but not the watch.

The size of this watch is perfect for me. Many of the watches I've looked at are huge, too large for my medium frame. This watch is a perfect size for me and is a very good looking. While it's a rugged sports watch it has a delicate, feminine look. I had a bit of a tough time setting the date, but eventually I was successful. The date is very small and tough to read but that was not the selling feature for me anyway, I wanted to able to tell the time.

First of all, the outer package looked like it had run over by a truck. However, the contents were fine. The Croton case is beautiful and had no damage. It was a few days before Christmas and so I was excited to get the time set and back in the box for my wife's wonderful surprise. Oops, the watch would not run. I have a jeweler friend whom I frantically called and asked for his help. He replaced the battery and the problem is fixed. The watch is beautiful and my wife loves it. However, I would never recommend sending a product out, without first making sure that everything works. I contacted Croton, only to get an address to return it to. Too late for that....I did not have the time to return it. Croton makes wonderful watches.
