A screw-down crown (knob) creates a water-resistant seal. To unscrew the crown, turn counter-clockwise and pull/push into position to set time, date, and other functions. To close the crown, press it against the case and turn clockwise.

Very nice Watch
This is a very nice watch. It is just as pictured. I didn't realize just how big it was though. This is a BIG watch! I purchased this is a gift - hope it doesn't seem to overwhelming on his wrist. It appears to be of high quality and the other reviews for this brand were positive, so I think he will like it.
