Croton Famous Military Look Quartz Watch

My old Croton watch, which I liked very much, was scratched and needed replacing. I had bought my previous Croton 5+ years ago on Overstock and it was very good - much sturdier than similar watches I was considering at the time. I decided to replace it with another Croton. This one was a mistake. The metal is a much lower grade than my previous Croton, and I doubt it will last long without breaking or scratching or simply falling apart. I hesitate to use the word "tin," but the material is apparently a much lighter and flimsier stainless steel than the old watch. I resized this band myself, and have done so on other watches - the pins in this band are simply metal cylinders smashed in place and are VERY difficult to remove. Every other metal band I have had used specially formed pins that could be pressed or struck with a small tool and removed easily. Not here. Based on the poor quality of this watch, I doubt I will be buying another Croton without handling the watch first. As others have said, unless you only want to look at the watch on your nightstand and never wear it, don't bother.
