Classic simplicity is the best way to describe this watch. My second in the Eco-drive line of Citizens, I am very pleased with the appearance and function and would recommend.Appearance: the picture doesn't do it justice. Every line on the watch is very crisp, with high-quality materials and tight assembly. The face is uncluttered and clean, with a nice contrast between the stainless hour markings and the jet-black dial. This is not a large watch, but classicly-sized and relatively thin one. It leans toward being a dress watch (black would go well with a dark suit) but given a plainer band would go with casual wear too.Function: setting the time and date is straight-forward, and once set, only the date reading will require updating depending on the month, as this keeps excellent time and never requires a battery or mechanical winding. Reading the watch is made easy because of the uncluttered design and high-contrast hands. The hands, however, are thin and do not have luminiscent markings for low-light and night time reading. I first realized this in a movie theatre when the watch was unreadable. Also, there is no magnification on the day and date display. I have no difficulty reading them, but if oversized readouts are required, this isn't the watch for you. Lastly, the watch band is a bit formal, being genuine leather with a alligator-style texture. I would recommend a plain black leather band considering the simplicity of the watch dial, and one that is a little thicker (personal preference).Ultimately, this is a high-quality and accurate watch; I would not hesitate to recommend it for yourself or as a gift, with a replacement of the band making it an every-day wearer.

I bought this watch for my husband's birthday, his wasnot able to be fixed after the years he had kept it and he was attached to it. He is an elegant man and likes elegant things. The watch is nice and thin, the face is easily read but not obtrusive. The band is good leather. I particularly like the fact that you need no batteriles since that is always my job. I'm very pleased with this watch, it is just what I wanted. very well done watch

it uses light as its energy source, no bother to change battery. It has week and day. it has black dail and strip, leather strip is comfortable, looks cool. It goes quite accurate.and the price is good, too.

The watch we purchased was given as a gift. The recipient was delighted with it and we were as well. It met or exceeded our expectations all around. It was delivered well packaged and promptly.

First of all, the watch arrived in some rather spiffy packaging. But the time and date was a fair way off and I had to reset it, but it was just a massive pain in the bum. It has Spanish and English days on the calendar, making for some extremely confusing situations. But the quality is top notch. The watch looks stunning. And the solar power is bloody neat. Buy it!

Definitely smaller than it looks in picture. Beware, if you have bigger hands then this watch may look a little odd. However, it is a stylish watch and goes well with a night out or casual dress.

Everything is great and what I expected with the watch. However, the international shipping (to Canada) was extremely problematic. I am hopinh this will be the first and least time I encounter the DHL in this city. No door notifications, e-mail notifications or any information was provided about my shipment. I don't think you should have to chase around for a service that has been paid for.

This is a really nice watch, can be casual or dress up. My husband loves it.

Classic watch with a clean design. A little upscale to wear with a tee shirt but still doable.

My husband was very happy with the watch and started wearing it immediately. He is a professional and would be using it daily while wearing a suit. When he got home the first day he said this watch is losing time . . .great! We followed directions for Eco Drive watch (solar). He was going out of town for a conference and once again wore it and indicated it stopped and lost time again at about 3:00 p.m. (Didn't like that time of day!1) So back it went to Overstock. I am still waiting for confirmation of my credit. I am looking again for another watch that looks like this one but not with Eco Drive. Maybe I just got the one that was defective, because I really liked the look of it.

I usually buy inexpensive watches that get discarded when the batteries go dead. I live in a very remote area and there is no one around here to replace watch batteries. The Eco-Drive is an obvious solution. It will never need a battery replacement. Its attractive, very accurate and not overly big. It has a very classy look that I really like.

Face was a little smaller that imagined but still a very nice watch. Lightweight, good fit, never needs a battery. Looks great while casual or dressed up.

I was very satisfies with this purchase. This watch is time-less and classy.

I purchased this watch as a Christmas gift for my son. He gave me a list with a couple to chose from. I decided on this watch because it looked classy. I was pleasantly surprised upon receiving it that it was just as nice in person as it appeared online. My Son was very pleased with the gift when he opened it . As for the ordering process and time it took to receive the watch, I was very pleased on the ease of ordering and speed of delivery.
