I purchased this because of seeing it on someone who told me they had purchased it from Overtstock.com. The chain that was with the pendant was not as pictured. It looked like the chain that you find on the inexpensive key chains - little round silver balls, not as pictured at all. It cheapened the pendant.
I found this charm a bit lightweight, but still quite delightful. (I gave it as a St. Pat's Day gift.) The chain that comes with the pendant is a bit too dainty for my tastes, so I purchased the Serpentine chain (see my other purchase for today).
I bought 4 different necklaces on Overstock.com for 4 different nieces as Christmas presents, and this one was far and away the nicest and best quality. The chain was heavier than what came with the other 3, and the pendant was nice. Niece was very happy, and so was I.

This piece was a gift for my 12yearold daughter for Christmas. I bought it based on the previous reviews and I'm so very glad that I did. She wears it daily. It's important to her that the shamrock side is always showing. (the flip side says "lucky girl") The color green is beautiful and the detailing just lovely. I would say that an older person could definitely get away with wearing this...maybe just upgrading to a thicker chain. Overall, a great buy for a wonderful piece of jewelry.
