The resin layer keeps the watch white. In the past other Casio watches have turned yellowish through wear and tear. This one seems to hold up, so far.

this is a very durable watch, hence the name g-shock. bought it because it specifically was in white!

This watch is a great buy, not only is it fashionable, but durable as well. So if you are looking for a large face watch but don't want to pay a large price then this is the watch you want.
