To just cut to the chase here (and leave out all the boring details of why I chose to purchase this necklace) this necklace is simply FANTASTIC. It truly exceeded all my expectations. 1. The image shown on the screen doesn't do this necklace justice. The quality of the workmanship is just wonderful and I was surprised at how large it was. I was under the impression (even though the pictures showed it being a reasonable size) that it would be smaller. It's not. It is a very appropriate size, not too big, and certainly far from too small. 2. The sapphire is beautiful as well. It has very beautiful color and clarity. Certainly cannot complain, especially considering the price. 3. The chain is beautiful. Some noted that they though the chain was "cheap." I highly disagree. It is a beautiful chain, slightly delicate, but not insubstantial by any means. Shoot, my very expensive diamond and emerald pendant, which came from a very expensive jeweler, has a much more delicate (dare I say cheap) chain, this one is vastly superior, so considering the price, I was pleasantly surprised. This necklace far exceeded my expectations. My only complaint (and this isn't against Overstock) was that the necklace didn't arrive before Christmas, despite ordering it in plenty of time. But that I have to blame on the blizzard in Denver, as this necklace clearly traveled through Denver on its way to our address - and well, freak things happen. Regardless of it being a late Christmas gift for our Nanny, I'm certain that the beauty and quality of this necklace makes up for a snow delay. If this necklace ever becomes available again, I would buy another, it is simply fantastic. I still admire it and say "wow, just wow!"

It does not look like silver. Once the color has been changed, there is no way to reverse it even with silver cleaner. I bought it about a year ago and it is now useless.

Just what I wanted......and more. The sapphire is a deep blue and really stands out. I think the necklace station is just the right size. It's pretty, but was a little dinky...... I thought it would be a little bulkier, have a little more weight, look a little less fragile.....

I purchased this necklace for my mother for Mother's Day. I payed the extra money to get it shipped to me in 3-4 days and it arrived in 2. She loved this necklace. I was happy to find a black hills gold necklace that had her birthstone in it. It was gorgeous and it came in a nice box with the authenticity certificate. The only thing is with this necklace, the way it hangs, it can easily get turned to the side. So you have to make sure that it hangs where it is suppose to a few times throughout the day. Overall, I am very pleased, and I will definetely be ordering from Overstock again. In fact, I am looking for me a birthstone ring right now!

I got this as a Mother's Day present, and I was so happy when it came. It's a beautiful little necklace, the sapphire is dark without looking totally black, and the gold colors are very pretty. The chain is dainty, but it didn't come knotted or tangled up. Overall, I'm very happy with the necklace. The picture doesn't do it justice!
