I have purchased several pieces of Black Hills Gold jewerly over the last 10-12 years. The jewerly is generally very pretty, delicate-looking and well-made. Based on my past experiences, I decided purchase this angel necklace as a gift for my goddaughter on her Christening. However, I was disappointed in the quality of the angel charm. The pink and green leaves -- in the signature style of Black Hills Gold -- were fine, but the angel itself was lumpy and not as cleanly or smoothly formed as I expected. It reminded me of the cheap, fake-gold angel pins my teachers used to hand out in Catholic grammar school. Hence, I decided to return the necklace and purchase something else (at a different retailer) instead.

I was drawn to this pendant because of the design and how it hangs on one's neck (opposed to a "V" shaped drape). My only disappointment is that the colors of the leaves, which are indiciative of the Black Hills style, are extemely faint and almost undetectable compared to other Balck Hills Gold jewelry that I own. So, if you are not picky about the red/green tones of the leaves, I highly recommend this pendant for its simple, yet elegant design.

I thought the pink and green colors would be a little more bold than they were.

I was very happy when this pendant with chain arrived in the mail. It is stunning with the contrast of the silver and the green and pink leaves. I am a SD native but since moving don't have the access BH Gold like before. I was happily suprised when I found the selection on O.CO! The chain is a nice one, it isn't flimsy and should last quite some time. Very happy with this product.

I was highly disappointed in the product because it looks cheap. It looks almost bendable and the chain color doesn't match the pendant. The chain is a yellow gold while the pendant is a pale gold. The leaves switched sides, with the pink on the left and the green on the right. What looked like a flower at the bottom of the heart is raised bumps. The middle heart is off to the side in the show picture but is down in the middle in actuality. The way that the links between the pendant and the loop to put the chain through are also different. The show picture has it as something akin to a belt loop on top with two circle chain loops. This has the first loop built into the first heart, with the second oval loop for the chain. That loop is slightly off-looking. Overall, this is a cheap knockoff looking piece. I would never be able to give this to my mother as a gift for her birthday, like planned. This will be returned. I feel like what you see is what you should get, not this.

I believe I misunderstood the sizing because although the Cross was beautiful it was a little too small for me - another 1/3" - 1/2" wider and taller would have been perfect. I had known the chain would be too short but that was o.k. as I would have purchased a different chain for it. I am sorry it didn't work for me as it is a nice piece of jewelry.
