the watch was the same watch that I saw at a deaprtment store for about 500 dollars less!

The Baume & Mercier Classima watch was exactly as marketed. The price was about $300 less than at retail jewelry stores. One gives up the manufacturer warranty purchasing this way, so a small risk is there, but these are quality watches.
