The ring is much much nicer than it looks in the picture. Sometimes the ultra-close up images highlights aspects (It looks like there is a lot of metal showing in the setting and on the encrusted band) that you can't see with the naked eye. There is a lot a sparkle in this ring--that's what you see! I have small hands (size 4.5-5 ring) and this ring stands out without looking like its too much. The image of the ring on the woman's hand DOES look a little bit wider than what it does in person. The top setting is the slightest bit narrower--more of a rectangle than the almost square-ish shape in the photo. That said, it's lovely. I got the ring because I love emerald cut diamonds, and the rectangular "halo" accentuates the rectangular shape. The setting sits up a bit, but not so much that I've been catching it on things such as reaching into my jeans pocket--glides right in. The encrusted band has a bit of texture, but not so much as to be irritating to the sides of the adjacent fingers. The diamonds are bright, and clear. No cloudiness at all! The center diamond does not appear to have any flaws, at least not that I can see with the naked eye, or with 2x reading glasses. The band fits nicely against the ring, with diamonds covering about 3/5th around the circumference of the band. Its a simple, elegant, super pretty ring. I ordered this ring on a Sunday night, it arrived via free shipping, "second day air" Friday afternoon. It sat for 3 days with a "Processing" status. Once it was shipped, it --literally--flew here (from Salt Lake City, UT to Rochester NY).
