So Sad... I searched and searched for the perfect ring and I was willing to pay for it. I found this ring and feel in love with it. The fact that it was 18 K Gold, sold me. So we bought it. I decided to clean my 18K gold ring, and I found out it was only 14K. I did not think to question overstock on the fact it was 18K, but I guess I should of caught it earlier, but everything before and after this ring has been great. This has really made me think twice about what I get on overstock or if there will be any future purchases. I have raved about overstock to my friends, but today I am not raving.
- How did the image on site compare with the actual product? The rign looked great
- How accurate was the sizing? Good
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Not what I ordered
Researched this purchase extensively and seemed like a good deal. Workmanship and setting were very nice, but the diamonds (although good quality) lacked light and sparkle. The stones were set very low in the ring, almost a channel setting. This combined, I suspect, with the Asscher cut really caused the diamonds to go flat. They look like simple pieces of glass set into the ring, not $3K stones. Disappointing considering the ring was otherwise very well made.
- Did the image onsite match the product? yes
- Did the product fit true to size? na
- How is the quality of the product? very good
This ring is exactly what I was looking for, at 1/3 the price I was able to find anywhere else. When I took it to be sized, I was shown how loose one of the side stones was, and both side stones weren't set into the "grooves" properly. Its all good now, but a comparable ring from anywhere else was at least $7000, and I saw one with higher quality stones for $24,000!!! This was an incredible deal.
