  I love the watch and so does my boyfriend. He has gotten so many compliments. The watch dresses up any dressed down outfit. I purchased him a *** about 4 months ago in brown tone metal for $225 and he didn't get as many compliments on that one as he gets on his Akribos watch. As I am aware of, it's not an everyday watch but when he does wear it I want to eat him up like it's his 1st time wearing it. It looks good on him.

  I have not received this "red" version yet, but I have received and worn the "blue". Very attractive waffle-pattern dial, The watch winds smoothly and the exhibition back displays a very nice looking mechanical movement. I liked it so much I bought all the available colors.

  I love watches.... I have all kinds. This is my first Akribos watch and so far I've been happy with it. The watch comes delivered in a long black rectangular faux leather bound box with gold inlay printing across the top. It's a very elegant presentation. It's nice enough that you'll not want to throw it away. It's also nice enough that if you want to ship this to someone as a gift, they'll certainly be impressed by it's presentation when received. Once opened, you'll see the watch is laid out flat. In my case the time needed to be adjusted and this is where I ran into my first issue. According to the instructions, there are two positions the winding dial can take. First position is to wind the watch, the second is to set the time. Based on how previous watches I've owned operate, to access the first position, you gently pull out the dial until you reach the first stop and you're at the first position. Gently pull it out again until your at the second stop and you're at the second posi...

  I love this watch!! It is a man's timepiece, and is large, but that is very stylish, and I do not find it too big for an average sized woman. I get compliments from both men and women. This is one of two Akribos watches I own, and enjoy the quality, perfect time and comments I receive when wearing these pieces.
