This watch is powered by automatic movement which means the winding of the spring occurs automatically when the wearer moves his arm. However, it is recommended that you manually wind the watch at least once every two weeks. It is also important to adjust the time once a month as automatic movement can gain or lose a few minutes per month. If movement stops, watch must be wound manually.

Can't go wrong with this one
For a company that's relatively new, this is an excellent watch. Akribos is a division of Stuhrling, so if you're on the fence about the quality, you need not worry. The build quality and materials are better than what I expected. It is also simply beautiful to look at. My only complaint was the cheaply made wrist strap, which I replaced immediately. Other than that, an excellent choice!

Very Attractive Watch
My boyfriend is a mechanic so I knew he would love this watch. He does! He catches himself being mesmerized at the inner-workings. Everyone at work compliments him and asks where they can get a watch like this. It's a high quality product at a very low price so we're all happy!

Doesn't Work
Bought this for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. Unfortuantely the watch would stop ticking every few minuted while he was wearing it. We called Akribos and they told us it must be a defect because we had wound the watch correctly. She asked us to return it to overstock. We asked for an exchange but overstock had sold out of this watch. Darnit. It is a beautiful watch. As someone else had stated, the band does pull out hairs. We were going to have the band replaced if we were able to receive an exchange.

Great watch, but the band is cheap
Got this watch for my Fiance, and it keeps time very well if he wears it daily and winds it once a week. Only downside is that a few months after purchasing it, the end piece on the band fell off, exposing a sharp metal piece that kept stabbing him. We had to get the band swapped out at a local watch place, but it's been great ever since.
