Akribos XXIV Men's Plotos Mechanical Floating Bubble Watch

I bought this watch purely for its unique look. I have not seen a see-through design like this before, and it was very different from the other watches in my collection. It has excellent fit and finish for the price. Although the description says the strap is genuine leather, my watch came with a strap with "Genuine Snake" stamped on the back. The black strap has scale-like bumps and feels coarse like sandpaper. It's another cool feature that adds to the uniqueness of the watch. My only complaint is that it runs about 30 seconds fast per day. Also, the O-ring around the sphere-shaped crown is a nice touch, but I wonder how long it will last if wound everyday. Although not for everyone, this timepiece will likely be different that what most other wrists are sporting. It's a keeper for me.

The Akribos XXIV Men's Plotos Mechanical Floating Bubble Watch is a wonderful combination of a complicated clockwork in an relative simple housing. What makes this watch special to me is the tiny mechanism, the open space around it so it seems to float in the watch and the rather big bubbled glass. This watch is very much not your everyday watch.
