Unique and pretty
This chain has enough texture to be worn alone, or with a pendant. The lobster clasp is sturdy enough, and was properly soldered to the chain. I am a jeweler, so this is important to me. I've purchased cheap chains before, where the clasp fell off after just a few days of wear = disappointed customers. I absolutely love gold-over-silver (vermeille). You get the look of gold for only a fraction of the price, and unlike gold-filled or other gold plated metals, silver does not turn most people's skin green. This chain is somewhat delicate. It is meant to be worn gently, and if you're adding a pendant, it should not be too heavy.

Save your money!
Chain was pretty at first....wore it for 2 days and it turned green.

DISAPPOINTED
I bought the 18" version of this necklace, and was very satisfied, but wanted one just a little shorter, so I ordered again for the 16" version. The description clearly says they are both the same diameter. This one is MUCH lighter. It is a nice little chain, but not heavy enough to make a statement if worn alone.

NOT REAL SIZE
This necklace was no where near 18 inches more like 14.

Expectations
I liked the necklace when I first got it, however after a not too longperiod of time , the chain separated from the clasp making it unusable and unfortuately, it was after the 30 day refund policy , so I had no recourse for replacement for a defective or poor quality product. i had a small charm that I had put on it and it fell off. Fortunatly I was at home when it happened otherwise I would have lost the valuable charm that was a memento given to me from a friend in Japan. I would have been seriously upset if I had lost that charm...Too fllimsy for any good addition. clasp section is weak and connection had poor workmanship.
